The farm is a commercial working mixed farm with arable and livestock enterprises and is in an Enviromental Stewardship Scheme which creates opportunities for us to help the environment whilst managing the livestock and land. This year we became Red Tractor Assured for our Ewes & Lambs.

The main focus of our livestock is a 250 strong ewe flock. They are all home bred and are a cross between Texel , Suffolk and Scot Breeds. This year we have used a Blue-Faced Leicester Tup to cross with the Scots to create a taller and more resilient lamb.

The Arable enterprise is growing of Wheat, Barley and Oil Seed Rape. The Wheat is used for Bread and Biscuit, the Barley for Malt, and the Oil Seed Rape for Rape Oil.

The Farm is also  of Archaeological interest as remains of  Bronze age Ladder settlements have been found. You can find out more about the Medieval Shrunken Village here.
